How long we retain your data

As long as you are an active volunteer, we will retain your contact information, information related to training, operations, and status. If you are asked to leave the service of Santa’s Saws Inc. we will maintain information related to you and only of official use only (it will not be shared outside of executives and management).

For donors, we will retain you contact information for a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years for tax reasons. Three (3) years after the last donation, we will mark your information as inactive and will cease to contact you. If you would like your status to change sooner, please contact us through the website Contact Us page and indicate in the comments you want your donor status changed to inactive.

What rights you have over your data

If you are or were a volunteer, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
